BECOME A MENTOR

Every year, Empower U and The Brandon Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund comes together to celebrate the Incredible accomplishments of our students at our annual Brandon Jackson Memorial Scholarship and Basketball Classic and awards ceremony. It's a joyful, meaningful day-and we can’t do it without the support of dedicated volunteers. 

We’re currently looking for volunteers to help in two important ways: 

1. Annual Scholarship Awards Event 

From event setup and breakdown, guest check-in, and program support. 

Volunteers play a key role in making the event run smoothly and feel 

special for the students and their families and all the attendees. 

2. Ongoing Mentorship Programs 

Beyond the event, we’re seeking committed volunteers who 

want to make a lasting impact by mentoring students 

throughout the year-offering guidance, encouragement, 

and real-world insight as they pursue their goals 

for a higher education.  

Whether you can give a few hours at the event or want to build a longer-term connection as a mentor, your time and talents truly make a difference. Interested in volunteering?
